At TakeRoot, we create a healing space where Korean immigrant women reconnect with their identities, grow in confidence, and raise the next generation with purpose—through expert-led webinars, community support, and practical tools for thriving in a new culture.

What We Do

Annual Forum & Webinars

Our annual forum and monthly webinars feature well-known local and international speakers who share practical advice and personal stories about the experiences of immigrant women—especially around culture, identity, and parenting. These events connect women who are raising families in a new country, offering support and building stronger community ties.

Training and Education

We have been offering seminars on US life topics like housing, public education, and the medical system, offering useful information for daily navigation. Our interactive lectures allow attendees to ask questions and engage with experts and other community members.

Book Club & Writing Club

Our book and writing clubs offer a welcoming space where participants can share their thoughts, ask questions, and connect with others in a supportive environment.

Small Groups

Our small groups are led by volunteers and offer a more focused, personal experience—whether it’s practicing English, teaching your children Korean, or working out together. Our longest-running group, the Healthy Habits Group, promotes regular exercise and healthy eating through peer support, helping participants build lasting wellness.
